Job Description Summary :
A professional services firm is seeking an Accounting Assistant to support billing and accounts receivable processes, maintain financial records, and assist with general accounting functions. This role collaborates closely with the Billing Manager and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and documentation.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Assist the Billing Manager with accounting activities, including accounts receivable, filing, and record maintenance for both clients and internal staff.
- Prepare and enter data for invoices, reports, payroll spreadsheets, charts, and other financial documents.
- Draft and process employment agreements and other confidential documents as required.
- Ensure timely preparation and submission of employee time sheets.
- Attend internal meetings and provide administrative or financial support as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Principles and practices of financial management.Manual and automated accounting systems.General ledger accounting principles and procedures.Accounting software, preferably Deltek Ajera, Vision, and / or Vantagepoint.Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills for effective interaction with colleagues, vendors, and external partners.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.2-4 years of relevant accounting or billing experience desired.COMPENSATION & BENEFITS :
Competitive salary range of $70,000 to $90,000 , commensurate with experience.Comprehensive health benefits package.
