- Bellin Health is looking for a highly engaged and driven occupational therapist, or certified occupational therapist assistant, preferably with previous experience in a hospital or inpatient rehabilitation setting, who is interested in a job with the opportunity to advance professionally and to care for patients . We are seeking someone who will contribute to our highly engaged culture driven to practice at the top of our scope of practice by utilizing the most evidence based care. The position is specifically targeting a professional with an aspiration for lifelong learning. Bellin Health is committed to developing our therapists with opportunities to pursue higher-level specialization training. This includes one on one mentorship opportunities working closely with experienced and skilled therapist with specialty training and higher level skill sets including board certification or fellowship training. All of our new team members are sponsored with paid time to complete specialty track coursework during their first year of employment to refine and enhance their skill set. Regular employees also are granted a subscription to MedBridge which allows for additional continuing education opportunities.
- The position will include working as a part of our Inpatient Therapy Services Team helping to expand, improve, and innovate our ever-growing service offerings for both adult patients. Applicants should be willing to adapt to different environments and enjoy company / patient variability. Any OT or COTA interested in growing professionally with a highly skilled team is encouraged to apply.
- Performs and documents occupational therapy evaluation, treatment, and discharge of patient according to established patient goals consistent with physician referrals. Communicates with patient, family, and members of health care team. Educates patient and public on health, wellness, and prevention of injury and illness as they pertain to occupational therapy. Supervises occupational therapy assistants (OTA) and therapy aides and meets with the OTA to progress plan of care.
- Responsible and accountable for independently providing quality professional occupational therapy services to patients and their families and significant others adhering to the WI Occupational Therapy Practice Act, AOTA Guide for Professional Conduct and Code of Ethics and Bellin Health Policies and Procedures. The responsibility includes providing a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors and working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary health care team to provide the best outcomes for the patient
Qualifications :
