Job Description :

This role is for a 4 / 10 1st shift schedule. Responsible for performing in-process inspections receiving and some final inspections on panel / module / chassis level assemblies. Interpret manufacturing drawings and diagrams for specifications to approve or reject units or systems for in process or final inspection. Responsible for successfully validating products and documentation for compliance with all applicable requirements. This role would also interface with Quality Engineers and Product Line Managers to discuss the suitability of inspected parts / materials.

Essential Functions :

Inspectelectrical and mechanical hardware to determine if products meet acceptance or rejection criteria as identified in applicable work procedures.

Verify geometric dimensioning and tolerancing against engineering drawings.

Visually inspect hardware using microscopes and magnifying lens.

Utilize measurement devices / tools such as calipers height gauges optical comparator micrometers scales and dimensional measurement systems.

Document non-conformances and photograph discrepancies.

Communicate with Engineers to determine product disposition.

Communicate with Product Line Managers to determine daily workflow.

Perform assigned surveillance audits.

Verify and record configuration and present to Document Control and / or the Customer / Government Representative(s).

Additional Qualifications / Responsibilities

Qualifications :

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or an Associates Degree with 4 years of prior related experience.

Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance.

Preferred Additional Skills :

One-year certificate in a quality related field from college or technical school desired.

ANSI / J-STD-001 IPC-A-610 and IPC-620 latest revisions and ESD Electrostatic Discharge preferred.

Experience interpreting 2-D drawings and knowledge of Geometric Dimension and Tolerancing

Experience in mechanical inspections utilizing inspection tools (calipers micrometers surface plate electronic and mechanical height gages pin gages comparator)

Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
