Estimator - Structural Steel

Job Title : Structural Steel Estimator

Overview :

We are seeking a detail-oriented Estimator with experience in structural steel fabrication and erection . The ideal candidate will have a strong background preparing takeoffs, pricing, and proposals for steel projects. Experience with precast erection is a plus, as well as knowledge or proficiency with Tekla software.

Responsibilities :

Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for structural steel fabrication and erection projects.

Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to identify project requirements.

Perform takeoffs and material / labor calculations.

Work with vendors and subcontractors to solicit and evaluate pricing.

Develop and submit competitive proposals and budgets.

Collaborate with project managers and engineers during preconstruction.

Track historical cost data to support future estimating accuracy.

Qualifications :

Previous estimating experience in structural steel projects required.

Knowledge of fabrication and erection processes; precast erection experience a plus.

Tekla proficiency or exposure strongly preferred.

Strong analytical and organizational skills.

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
