Experienced Sit-Down and Clamp Forklift Operator - West Columbus, OH

We are actively seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our busy warehouse operations in West Columbus, OH. We require candidates with proven expertise in safely and effectively operating both Sit-Down Counterbalance and Clamp forklifts.

Key Responsibilities

Expertly and safely operate Sit-Down Counterbalance and various Clamp forklifts (such as paper roll, carton, or slip sheet clamps) to move, stack, retrieve, and store products and materials.

Perform efficient loading and unloading of inbound and outbound trailers and rail cars. Use Radio Frequency (RF) scanners or similar inventory tracking systems to ensure accurate material location and inventory counts.

Transport raw materials to production lines, stage finished goods, and supply necessary materials to various designated areas within the facility.

Conduct mandatory daily safety inspections (pre-shift checks) on all equipment. Immediately report any mechanical malfunctions, damage, or potential safety hazards. Strictly adhere to all OSHA and company safety standards and procedures.

Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area, contributing to overall warehouse efficiency and housekeeping goals.

Collaborate effectively with supervisors, shipping / receiving clerks, and other team members to ensure smooth operational flow.

Qualifications and Requirements

A minimum of 3 years of recent, verifiable professional experience operating both Sit-Down Counterbalance Forklifts and Clamp Forklifts.

Must possess a current, valid forklift operator certification / license.

Must be able to handle a regular physical workload, including continuous standing, walking, bending, and the ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs.

Must reside in or be able to reliably commute to the West Columbus, OH area.

Demonstrated attention to detail, strong hand-eye coordination, and basic proficiency with warehouse inventory technology (e.g., RF scanners).

Reliable, punctual, and capable of performing assigned duties efficiently in a demanding, fast-paced industrial environment.
