Senior Big Data Software Engineer

As a Senior Big Data Software Engineer, you will work closely with a dynamic team of developers, designers, product owners, and other professionals to create outstanding products focused on Big Data and Business Intelligence / Reporting. You will tackle complex challenges and develop well-crafted, test-driven solutions. Join a team that is passionate about technology and always eager to push boundaries!

Work-Life

This role is fully remote, offering an optional workspace at our Santa Monica office, located on the 3rd Street Promenade. Most teams operate on West Coast hours and enjoy a high level of autonomy. Currently, we can only consider US Citizens or active US Green Card holders for this position.

Responsibilities

• 5+ years of experience in modern Java development
• Strong expertise in software architecture and modular / object-oriented design
• Familiarity with a range of modern databases (Relational, NoSQL, etc.)
• Experience with web-based API integrations (RESTful, etc.)
• Proficiency with the Spring Framework is highly desirable
• Experience with AWS is a strong plus
• Knowledge of real-time distributed computational systems is advantageous
• Effective communication and documentation skills
• Strong leadership, prioritization, and organizational abilities
