Project Manager
Amazon is seeking a Project Manager to oversee and coordinate the execution of successful new build infrastructure and expansion / retrofit projects in our Operations Global Engineering Maintenance Sustainability (GEMS) Organization. This individual will lead a team of support personnel and coordinate the resources required to launch new and complex projects with the goals of achieving timelines, staying within budget, and driving standardization within our network. The Project Manager will manage small to medium capital projects with significant schedule commitments. The Project Manager will lead and coordinate schedule of multiple vendors at the same time, as well as interface at all levels of the organization.
Key job responsibilities include : managing new and existing programs, successfully delivering difficult projects and goals across multiple organizations; partnering with other program managers to secure resources, scope efforts, set project priorities and milestones and drive delivery; owning program communication, accelerating progress by driving crisp and timely decisions, clearing blockers (e.g., path to green), escalating as appropriate; influencing design and development of strategic processes; working with program managers and business leaders to communicate and impact critical business initiatives; developing, implementing, and governing the execution of all business, technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of the assigned program, project, or sub-task; providing accountability while reporting on status, asking for help, and immediately escalating issues and problems as necessary; and being responsible for overall project schedule that enables the teams to be successful based upon the project milestones and Go-Live. Position includes travel up to 80% (Nationwide).

Basic qualifications include : 2+ years of program or project management experience; a bachelor's degree or equivalent; experience in a highly analytical, results-oriented environment with cross functional interactions. Preferred qualifications include : knowledge of Microsoft Excel at an advanced level, including : pivot tables, macros, index / match, vlookup, VBA, data links, etc.; and knowledge of Lean principles and DMAIC methodology.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $50,100 / year in our lowest geographic market up to $107,200 / year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and / or other benefits.
