Other duties assigned by management. Four (4) years minimum oil and gas accounting / cash management experience. Ability to accurately solve problems and manage data including spreadsheet proficiency. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, officials, and the public. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Outstanding administrative and organizational skills. Proficiency in the use and application of the following software : Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year university or college with a degree in business or accounting, or equivalent experience.
Job Objective :
Monitors and records cash management activity to insure completeness and accuracy of accounting records.
Essential Job Responsibilities :
- Ensures that comprehensive accounting records relating to cash activity are maintained in an organized manner.
- Execute wire transfers, ACH payments, and intercompany funding.
- Prepares monthly journal entries relating to cash management activity.
- Processes miscellaneous deposit items for multiple bank accounts.
- Maintains cash databases by entering and verifying data.
- Performs daily bank account reconciliations to ensure that bank activity is authorized.
- Works with the bank to resolve cash issues in a timely manner.
- Performs weekly and monthly bank reconciliations to ensure that all activity is recorded in the general ledger.
- Continuously assesses internal systems and recommends changes that would allow greater efficiency in monthly processing.
