Our Acoustics & Haptics Department is expanding its business development efforts in North America, focusing on speaker boxes, actuators, VCMs for camera modules, and motors. We are seeking a technical sales professional to strengthen relationships with Google and Microsoft while developing new business with Meta, Amazon, Dell, HP, and hardware startups.
Responsibilities
- Expanding existing business with Google (Pixel products) and Microsoft (Surface laptops, Xbox) by securing newdesign wins.
- Developing new business with Meta, Amazon, Dell, HP, and emerging Silicon Valley hardware startups.
- Acting as the technical liaison between our R&D teams in China and North American customers, ensuring that customer expectations and technical requirements are correctly understood and communicated.
- Identifying market trends in wearables (AI glasses, VR, audio glasses, game controllers), smartphones, laptops (speakers, trackpad actuators), and AI robotics to drive our market penetration.
- Managing the full sales cycle, from technical engagement to contract negotiations and project execution.
- Collaborating with engineering teams in China to align product roadmaps with customer needs.
- Providing market intelligence and competitive analysis to refine our product strategy.
- Handling customer concerns related to product performance, quality, and manufacturing.
- Driving projects and programs from concept to completion, ensuring smooth execution across multiple teams and time zones.
- Key Performance Metrics
- Success in this role will be evaluated based on :
- Revenue from new design wins ($ value of new projects secured).
- Number of new customer engagements (Meta, Amazon, Dell, HP, etc.).
- Expansion of existing accounts (Google, Microsoft - additional product lines).
- Successful technical presentations and proof-of-concept demonstrations to customer engineers.
- Customer satisfaction scores and feedback.
- Effectiveness in project / program execution, ensuring timely delivery of solutions that meet customer expectations.
Qualifications :
5+ years of experience in technical sales, business development, or field applications within consumer electronics (acoustics, haptics, actuators, VCMs, or motors).Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.Deep understanding of customer system engineering and end-product applications (smartphones, laptops, gaming devices, wearables, AI robotics).Proven track record of securing new business wins and growing existing accounts.Industry connections in the Silicon Valley hardware ecosystem, particularly with Google, Microsoft, Meta, Amazon, Dell, and HP.Strong cross-functional communication skills to effectively bridge R&D resources in China with North American customer expectations.Ability to clearly translate customer requirements into actionable tasks for internal engineering teams.Excellent presentation and deck-building skills to communicate product capabilities and business value to customers.Willingness to work across time zones to ensure seamless collaboration between global teams.Experience in project / program management, with the ability to drive projects from concept to completion while coordinating across teams.Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin (preferred, but not required).Strong negotiation and persuasion skills to drive customer engagement and secure new business.Willingness to travel (up to 25%) to meet with customers and internal teams.Why join?
