Digital Experience Specialist (Technology Support Specialist)

The Digital Experience Specialist maintains a complex technology environment and ensures all technology elements are operating effectively so that students teachers and staff can remain focused on student learning. This position maintains a deeper technical understanding of the digital learning environment and serves as a support resource for Digital Experience Specialists across multiple schools and administrative sites.

Digital Experience Specialistsmay be reassigned to assist and / or support other locations to meet the needs of the district in accordance with School Board Policy

Roles and Responsibilities

The following information is intended to describe the overall nature and scope of the work being performed. This is not a comprehensive listing of all responsibilities or tasks; work may differ and other work may be assigned when deemed appropriate.

• Consults with staff to maintain all technology elements within the assigned location.
• Collaborates with school or departmental staff for technology purchases and the effective allocation of technology resources.
• Communicates with staff regarding system changes ongoing issues and upcoming projects.
• Serves as assigned owner of all incidents reported by staff and students and ensures resolution in a timely and effective manner.
• Deploys installs troubleshoots repairs and maintains all technology equipment and peripherals within the assigned location.
• Maintains accurate inventory of technology equipment assigned to assigned to buildings students and staff.
• Performs system administration work to include user account management and installation of district approved software.
• Implements emerging technologies monitors progress and reports findings to departmental leadership.
• Develops and maintains knowledge articles and related technical documentation for students and staff.

Qualifications

Below are the minimum qualifications for this job. Equivalent combinations of education and experience are also acceptable.

Education

Associates degree or two years of equivalent experience in an Information Technology field

Experience

Licenses and Certifications

MCP or MCSA ITILv4 HDI A N certifications preferred

The employee may climb a ladder and work in confined spaces.

Salary Scale : Range : $27.81 - $35.79

A workplace emergency is an unforeseen situation that threatens the staff pupils or the public; disrupts or shuts down business operations; or causes physical or environmental damage. Emergencies may be natural or manmade. It is incumbent upon the supervisor to inform and confirm which essential personnel are required to work during emergency closings. Notification and confirmation of the expectation of essential personnel to report to work or maintain as-needed status will be executed with as much advanced notice as possible via in-person communication or email.
