We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Litigation Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in federal court and Illinois court procedures, with a proven ability to handle complex litigation matters including medical malpractice, nursing home litigation, and personal injury litigation. This role requires a meticulous professional who is proficient in drafting legal documents, legal research, electronic discovery, and trial preparation. The candidate will also need to demonstrate excellent project management, communication skills, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities :

As a Senior Litigation Paralegal, your responsibilities will include :

1. Assisting attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and closings.

2. Conducting thorough legal research and fact-checking to ensure the accuracy of case data.

3. Drafting legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and subpoenas.

4. Managing all aspects of the litigation process from initiation, discovery, through trial.

5. Organizing and maintaining documents in a paper or electronic filing system.

6. Reviewing and managing document production.

7. Coordinating the collection, review, and production of business documents and responding to subpoenas.

8. Assisting with case settlements.

9. Liaising between the trial team and third parties such as vendors, experts, and witnesses.

10. Utilizing existing software and technology resources for maximum case management efficiency.

11. Providing Litigation Support in the form of legal research, drafting memorandums and legal pleadings, indexing of legal documents, etc.

Qualifications :

1. Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field.

2. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Litigation Paralegal.

3. Proficient in federal court and Illinois court procedures.

4. Experience in medical malpractice, nursing home litigation, and personal injury litigation.

5. Strong knowledge and experience in legal research, drafting legal documents, electronic discovery, and trial preparation.

6. Proven experience with document review and case management.

7. Excellent legal writing and document preparation skills.

8. Strong project management skills.

9. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.

10. High level of attention to detail.

11. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software.

12. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

13. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

14. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
