Tax Manager

Kforce is partnering with a respected public accounting firm in Saint Louis, MO to hire a Tax Manager for a hybrid opportunity. The Tax Manager will oversee the review of business, individual, and trust tax returns, while also handling tax research, projections, and extensions. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, leadership experience, and a proactive approach to client service.Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review tax returns for S Corporations, partnerships, individuals, and trusts-including multi-state filings
• Develop and evaluate tax projections and strategic tax planning initiatives
• Collaborate with taxing authorities to resolve complex tax matters
• Mentor and support staff through training and professional development
• Conduct tax research and provide actionable recommendations to clients
• Stay current on evolving tax laws and assess their impact on client portfolios
• Assist in the coordination and presentation of internal CPE events
• Working towards or active CPA
• 4+ years of experience in public accounting tax
• 2+ years of supervisory or managerial experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to build and maintain excellent client relationships
• Experience with ProSystem tax software (preferred)
• Collaborative and team-oriented mindset

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical / dental / vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
