Medical, Dental, and Visio n Insurance Personal Time Off Paid Holidays The Opportunity : As an Estimator at Golden Coast Construction & Restoration you will play a pivotal role in our project success by providing accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects. You will be responsible for meeting adjusters to walk the scope, write and reach approval on the repair estimate, evaluating project plans, conducting thorough material and labor cost analysis, and working with other departments to ensure each projects success. This role requires a strong understanding of construction methods, industry trends, and exceptional analytical skills. Project Evaluation : Review project plans, specifications, and other relevant documents to gain a comprehensive understanding of project requirements. Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates, including labor, materials, equipment, subcontractor costs, and overhead expenses. Identify cost-saving opportunities and propose value engineering alternatives without compromising quality. Evaluate project risks and uncertainties and incorporate appropriate contingencies into cost estimates. Analyze historical data, industry trends, and market conditions to enhance the accuracy of cost estimates. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and other team members to ensure a cohesive approach to project estimating. Ensure that cost estimates are in line with the company's quality standards and industry best practices. Stay updated with industry developments, construction techniques, and cost estimating software to continually improve estimating processes. Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field; or equivalent experience. Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating, with a strong background in negotiations. Proficiency in construction cost estimating software (e.g., Xactimate, Eagleview, Hover, and MS Office Suite preferred) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Detail-oriented and highly organized. Adept at interpreting architectural and engineering drawings. Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and permitting processes.
