Maintenance Director

We are currently searching for an experienced Director of Maintenance.

The primary purpose of the Maintenance Director is to ensure the highest quality and cleanliness of resident care available, support staff, and establish a positive reputation in the community while delivering on our highest standards. This position is responsible for maintaining the facility.

Maintenance Responsibilities :

Some of the specific duties of the position are as follows :

Make minor repairs on handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs, electrical equipment, emergency lighting, fire alarms and extinguishers, changes filters on HVAC equipment, lifts and stocks supplies.

Take care of the tools and equipment.

Must be able to use and operate the following equipment : all garden equipment (shovel, lawn mower, hoe, rake, grass trimmer, hand tools, etc.), carpenter tools and equipment (saws, sander, wrench, etc.), plumbing tools and equipment, painting tools and equipment, electrical tools and equipment, all heating and cooling tools and equipment (boiler, furnace, water heater, air conditioning units, etc.), housekeeping tools and equipment, appliance repair tools and equipment, general maintenance tools, van, truck, ladder, etc.

Maintenance Requirements :

Basic knowledge of wiring, plumbing, and carpentry.

Successful completion of a training and competency evaluation program required.

Completion of orientation required by company policy.

Health screening and TB test (if required) within two weeks of employment.

Mandatory drug test within 90 days of hire.

Must be free of criminal activity proven by a criminal background check.

Show within three (3) days of hire satisfactory evidence of identity and eligibility for employment.

Highschool Diploma or equivalent.

Minimum 1 years experience in Maintenance.
