Pest Control Technician

As a pest control technician, you are responsible for inspecting properties, identifying pests, and safely applying pesticides or other control methods to eliminate infestations. In California, you must be licensed by the Structural Pest Control Board (SPCB) to work on man-made structures.

Duties and responsibilities :

• Inspect buildings and property for pests or signs of infestation.
• Design and execute pest management plans, which may include using baits, setting traps, or applying chemical pesticides.
• Communicate with customers to explain the treatment plan, answer questions, and provide recommendations for preventing future infestations.
• Complete necessary paperwork, maintain accurate records of services performed, and collect payments.
• Safely handle and apply potentially toxic chemicals while wearing protective gear like gloves, goggles, and respirators.
• Drive a company vehicle and manage your daily route to service customer appointments.
