Junior Design Stress Engineer - BWX Technologies, Inc. - Barberton, Ohio

BWX Technologies, Barberton, OH location is looking for an Entry Level Design Stress Engineer to join the team! This individual will help perform stress analyses of nuclear pressure vessels and other highly engineered products. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Support in performing stress analyses of nuclear pressure vessels and other highly engineered products.
• Assist with conducting finite element analysis, custom post-processing software, and closed form analytical techniques.
• Assist with perform standard and advanced structural analysis methods including linear elastic sizing, fatigue, elastic-plastic, fracture mechanics, shock and vibration, and thermal / mechanical.
• Work with members of other engineering disciplines (manufacturing, quality, welding, drafters, thermal fluids, etc.) in a team environment to generate component designs to meet code requirements and to optimize the design for manufacturability.
• Work closely with on-site manufacturing to resolve real time fabrication related issues.
• Communicate effectively internal and customer presentations and written technical reports.
• Assist in efforts to reduce cost and span of current components.
