About the Role
The Company is in search of a Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs to serve as its chief academic officer and leader of the academic enterprise. The successful candidate will be a seasoned academic leader and scholar with a broad academic vision, a strong background in scholarship and teaching, and a deep commitment to education at all levels, including undergraduate, graduate, online, and global education. This role involves close collaboration with the president, Board of Trustees, vice presidents, deans, faculty, and staff to advance the academic mission of the institution. The Provost will be a trusted and highly collaborative member of the president's cabinet, offering thoughtful, innovative, and intellectual leadership to the academic community. Key responsibilities for the Provost include serving as the chief advisor for all academic matters, leading the development of vision and strategy for the institution, and ensuring academic excellence and innovation across all programs. The ideal candidate will be a steward of personalized and holistic education, with a focus on developing leaders and global citizens who are instilled with a strong foundation of ethics and are prepared to make a positive impact on society. The role also involves a commitment to programmatic, pedagogical, and scholarly excellence, and the Provost will play a lead role in these areas across the institution's undergraduate and graduate programs. A Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree in a relevant field is required, along with a proven track record of academic leadership and a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities in higher education.
