What You'll Do

Provide customer service to clients, staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.

Respond to incidents and critical situations within the healthcare location in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.

Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.

Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns encountered during patrols.

Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a secure environment for all occupants.

Assist with access control, visitor management, and screening procedures as required by site-specific policies.

Work collaboratively with healthcare staff and other Allied Universal team members to support a secure and welcoming environment.

Document and communicate all incidents, observations, and actions taken in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.

Minimum Requirements

A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.

A New York State Security Guard License is required.

At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
