Job Overview : A Medical Assistant (MA) is a versatile healthcare professional who provides administrative and clinical support to healthcare teams, ensuring the smooth operation of medical practices and clinics. MAs work alongside physicians, nurses, and other medical staff to deliver high-quality patient care. This role includes performing both clinical tasks, such as taking vital signs and assisting in examinations, and administrative duties, such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records.

Key Responsibilities :

Clinical Responsibilities :

• Take and record patient vital signs (e.g., temperature, pulse, blood pressure, respiratory rate, weight).
• Assist with patient examinations and minor procedures.
• Administer medications or injections as prescribed by physicians.
• Prepare and clean examination rooms, ensuring they are stocked with necessary supplies.
• Draw blood and collect laboratory specimens for testing.
• Prepare patients for diagnostic tests (e.g., X-rays, EKGs) and assist during procedures.
• Provide basic patient education on treatment plans, medications, and health management.
• Handle medical instruments and equipment, ensuring they are sterilized and in good working condition.

Work Environment : Medical Assistants typically work in doctors' offices, hospitals, outpatient clinics, and healthcare facilities.
