Electrical Systems Engineer

Position Purpose :

Provide instrument controls and electrical systems engineering support required to maintain all aspects of site instrumentation controls and electrical systems. Provide similar function in support of construction projects.

Primary Duties / Responsibilities :

• Lead electrical and instrumentation projects and / or maintenance work to ensure compliance with the national electrical code and site permits
• Participate in the development of project design concepts and criteria
• Provide and modify instrument and electrical drawings as needed
• Write and / or modify programs used by site programmable logic controllers programmable drives human machine interfaces and distributive control systems
• Prepare electrical and instrumentation estimates for projects
• Act as a project manager or proposal manager on small electrical and instrumentation projects
• Monitor project progress for technical accuracy and adherence to schedule and budget
• Represent respective projects at meetings and conferences
• Provide technical support for the facilitys instrument and electrical maintenance department
