Staff Accountant

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant for a temp to hire role in West Sacramento, CA. The Staff Accountant will support daily accounting operations, assist with month-end close activities, and ensure accuracy in financial reporting. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in accounting who is looking to grow their career in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities :

• Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable team as needed
• Support month-end and year-end close processes
• Prepare and analyze financial reports to support management decisions
• Reconcile inventory and work with the cost accountant as needed
• Support internal and external audit processes by preparing schedules and reconciliations
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies
