About the Unit

The Behavioral Health unit at RCH is a licensed 40 bed unit for Acute Behavioral Health Patients. We typically fill 32 of those beds on an average day. This units serves adults across the lifespan with a variety of mental health disorders including : Bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, depression, and substance use disorders. We work with a multidisciplinary team to create treatment plans that address both acute and chronic mental health issues. Nurses on this unit work together as a team, facilitating groups, and helping patients achieve desired outcomes.
