job_description.job_card.job_descriptionThis position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs The required availability for this position is Monday–Friday, 6 : 00 AM–2 : 30 PM (options to start at 7 : 00 AM; overtime opportunities on evenings / weekends) Enter new prescriptions for patients and process prescription exceptions Contact physician offices and patients as needed for verification and clarification Provide pharmacist call back and patient quality assurance support Enter patient demographics and prescription details into the data processing system Work with new patient / new referral imaging folders Load insurance plans and coordinate benefits into the system for new referrals Participate in the review and audit of test claims for new patients or referrals Process reorders and manage related email distribution Handle image indexing, AE report filing, and related documentation Provide support and expertise for specialized programs such as ETT or Pharma Perform responsibilities requiring registration and / or licensure as needed Licensed Pharmacy Technician (state requirements apply) High School Diploma or GED Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days Previous experience in a high-volume pharmacy or healthcare data entry setting
