DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Serve as a resource for employee questions concerning policy and procedure and benefit questions
Assist with recruitment process including; screening resumes, interviewing, reference checks, extending offers, scheduling new hire pre-employment processing
Conduct friendly audits with new hires to follow-up on the recruitment process, onboarding and initial orientation to Gurwin
Update and maintain employee information in the HRIS information including, but not limited to employee health information, licenses and certifications
Assist in the maintenance of the HR file including filing and auditing
Coordination of medical, dental and vision benefits for eligible employees
Responsible for compliance monitoring including, but not limited to : tracking of licenses / certifications, performance evaluations, I-9 information, OMIG, OIG, SAM, confidentiality agreements, etc.
Coordinate process for certification renewal for Certified Nursing Assistant
Assist in employee relations issues by providing support with investigations
Tracking of leave of absences for employees
Assist in coordinating and tracking information for the performance improvement / quality assurance projects for the HR department
Perform other special projects as assigned
Perform additional related tasks / duties as required and / or assigned
Excellent customer service skills; must adhere to all aspects of our customer service program
Deals discretely with sensitive information concerning performance of staff and Human Resources issues
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :
Previous HR experience in a healthcare setting strongly preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
Excellent organizational skills and highly detail oriented with strong analytical skills
Must be a critical thinker
Proficiency in MS Office
