About The Position

Job Title : Ultrasound Technologist

Profession : Ultrasound

Hours per Shift : 8 : 00 AM - 4 : 30 PM

Experience : Minimum of 1 year of experience required

License : RDMS or ARDMS

Certifications : BLS (AHA)

Must-Have :

• Graduate of an approved / accredited School of Ultrasound
• Registration as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer
• Ability to perform breast imaging DVT exams
• Working knowledge of CR and PACS preferred

Description :

Under general supervision, operates highly technical ultrasound equipment which produces high-frequency sound to acquire images for use by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies.

Performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative to apply prescribed high-frequency sound for diagnosis.

Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required.

Works effectively with patients and their families while maintaining a cooperative relationship with interdepartmental personnel.

Must be able to perform breast imaging DVT exams.
