Job Description Summary : The primary purpose of this position is to ensure smooth operation of the shift, and to provide functional supervision to Laboratory Assistants, both general and technical.

Responsibilities And Duties :

• Coordinate shift activities
• Monitor workflow using on-line systems
• Maintain competency in basic and technical lab assistant duties
• Maintain procedure manual

Minimum Qualifications :

Additional Job Description : General science emphasis; or two years of related Experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of and Experience. Data entry skills; organizational skills and ability to work under stressful conditions; requires the capacity to work in a high risk department in an environment with equanimity, precision and attention to detail; good communication skills, to include effective speech delivery and telephone skills. Two years in a high volume environment including specimen processing and accessioning.
