Saint Alphonsus Health System Educational Coordinator

Coordinates all Educational Affiliation Agreements for the Saint Alphonsus Health System. This includes working with various Educational Institutions and SAHS Senior Leaders as well as SAHS Legal Department. This position will also gather, verify and house necessary documentation as per the Agreement as well as perform audits of existing Agreements. Also responsible for coordination of education activities within the Clinical Education Department including clinical student placement. Works closely with the manager and university, college and training center coordinators to ensure all facility and regulatory standards are met.
Schedule : 28 hrs a week - Monday-Friday within the hours of 7 : 30-5
Skills, Knowledge, Education and Experience :
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree preferred.
- Two (2) years Medical Office experience in a health-care setting preferred.
- Experience with legal documents preferred.
Essential Functions :
Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the Organization's Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions.Coordinates clinical student placement including coordination of clinical student assignments within SAHS, student orientation.Maintains excellent working relationships with universities, colleges and training programs that place learners in internships at SAHS clinical sites.Works closely with SAHS Legal Department in establishing and managing Educational Affiliation Agreements.Gathers all necessary documentation from each educational institution per the Educational Affiliation Agreement. Ensures compliance with the Educational Affiliation Agreement prior to each learner's internship.Performs deep-dive audits of educational institutions to ensure compliance with the Educational Affiliation Agreement.Communicates effectively with all departments across Health System that host students. Support those departments and managers as necessaryCreate and manage a tracking system for Educational Affiliation Agreements and related expireables associated with Agreements.Ensures all facility and regulatory standards regarding clinical student placement are met.Composes and distributes educational materials, interdepartmental correspondence, etc. as needed.Assists with special projects and interdepartmental needs when appropriate.Provides support to department including : ordering departmental supplies, coordination of meetings and educational conferences and database maintenance.Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.Requires demonstrated proficiency in multi-tasking, flexibility, time management, organization, attention to detail and professionalism.Must be able to work equally well independently and in a team environment.Highlights and Benefits :
