  • Assist senior MHE Technicians (II & III) in maintaining material handling equipment and industrial batteries.
  • Learn and perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and small repairs on MHE fleet.
  • Gain knowledge of hydraulics, AC / DC electrical systems, PLC systems, and mechanical systems (transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension).
  • Support building / grounds projects (light carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical fixes).
  • Perform battery maintenance (charger repairs, battery swaps, cleaning, watering, acid spill cleanup).
  • Participate in on-call rotation and log daily work in CMMS.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in safe and clean condition.
  • Respond to emergencies to ensure employee and facility safety.
  • Follow OSHA, state, and federal safety regulations and promote a strong safety culture.
  • Collaborate effectively and demonstrate teamwork in all interactions.

    • Material Handling Equipment,Mechanical Maintenance,Hydraulics,Forklift Maintenance

    • High School diploma or GED required; Technical school or equivalent preferred (2 years).
    • At least 2 years of hands-on mechanical maintenance experience, specifically on equipment (not just building / facility work like light bulbs or carpentry).
    • Exposure to working on forklifts (Crown brand preferred, but Raymond, Hyster also valued).
    • Experience with equipment such as golf carts, skid steers, front-end loaders, and John Deere / New Holland machinery.
    • Some exposure to hydraulic systems and troubleshooting.
    • Valid state Driver’s License with liability coverage.
    • Sysco-approved defensive driving program (upon hire).
    • Powered Industrial Equipment Certification (within 3 months of hire).
    • MHE 8-hour maintenance tech certificate from manufacturers (Crown, Raymond, Hyster) preferred.
