The Internship Opportunity : Information Technology
The Port of Virginia - Virginia Port Authority is seeking an Information Technology intern that will document the network design for both Operational Technology (OT) and Information Technology (IT) segmentation. They will develop parameters to effectively test network segmentation and create procedures, scripts, and documentation to validate and confirm the security of the segmentation. This work will support the integrity and resilience of the port’s network infrastructure.
The Port of Virginia's 8-Week Summer Internship Program runs from June 1, 2026 - July 24, 2026. It has been designed to develop, teach, and mentor undergraduate and graduate students as they explore career opportunities within the maritime industry. Students will have the opportunity to apply classroom knowledge to hands-on, project-focused tasks in various departments throughout The Port of Virginia.
