RESEARCH SERVICE ANALYST

Administrative Analyst Specialist II

Office of Research Service and Creative Activities

Salary Range : $5797 - $8445 / Monthly (Budgeted Hiring Salary Range $5797 - $6459 / Monthly)

Work Schedule : Full-Time Monday - Friday 8 : 00 a.m. to 5 : 00 p.m.; Exempt classification.

Essential Functions : Under the direct supervision of the AVP for the Office of Research Scholarship and Creative Activities (ORSCA) the incumbent is responsible for day-to-day oversight and training related to research-related compliance. For example the Institutional Review Board-Use of Human Subject (IRB) the Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) Export Control and other needs of ORSCA that arise. The incumbent serves as the primary contact for these programs and works with the reporting line supervisor and the chair of each committee to facilitate and coordinate the review process. The incumbent prepares updates and submits required reports to governmental agencies in all compliance-related areas. This position has fiscal management responsibilities for ORSCA operations. For example the budget invoicing ETFs etc. The incumbent creates and plans new and recurring events in supporting faculty students and staffs research-related needs that in alignment with the campus and CSU system-wide missions / goals.

Required Qualifications & Experience : Bachelors degree from an accredited four-year college or university and / or equivalent training and related administrative work experience. Two years of full-time progressively responsible work experience providing the day-to-day administration of a program and / or performing a variety of administrative and technical duties. Working experience in engagement events with campus-wide and / or local communities. Experience in supporting / managing funded programs. Knowledge of budget policies and procedures; program and policy research; and personnel administration. Familiarity with federal funding agency policies and procedures including those related to the use of animals and / or human subjects in research. Excellent organizational administrative and interpersonal skills. Exceptional verbal written and analytical skills and strong skills in the use of MA Office suite of programs. Demonstrated ability to work in an independent manner. Ability to learn interpret and apply a wide variety of policies and procedures relating to and impacting the applicable program organizational unit and / or administrative specially. Ability to : respond promptly and appropriately to requests and questions from students professors and administrators; work well under pressure; organize and plan work and projects including handling multiple priorities; make independent decisions and exercise sound judgment; and compile write and present reports related to a program or administrative specialty. Ability and interest in learning and adopting new technology / software that necessarily and / or enhance the productivity of related works. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with faculty students and staff within and outside the work group and serve as a liaison for the organizational unit. The incumbent must have a demonstrated interest and / or ability in working in a multicultural / multiethnic environment. A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the CSU.
