Pride Health is currently seeking candidates for a “Pharmacist I – Contract” to support one of our healthcare partners in New York, NY . This is a contract assignment with a strong likelihood of extension and an excellent opportunity to join a top-tier hospital system!

Job Description

  • Job Title : Pharmacist I – Contract
  • Location : New York, NY
  • Schedule : 4 days per week (40 hours / week)
  • Shift : 10 PM – 8 AM / 3 : 30 PM – 11 : 30 PM / 7 : 30 AM – 4 PM
  • Pay Range : $3,500 - $4,000 weekly DOE

Overview

Position Summary :

We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacist I who will serve patients by preparing medications, providing pharmacological information to the healthcare team, and monitoring drug therapies to ensure safe and effective treatment. This role supports multiple specialty areas and requires strong clinical judgment and technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and dispense medications accurately and promptly.
  • Provide pharmacological guidance to physicians, nurses, and clinical teams.
  • Monitor patient drug therapies and offer therapeutic and dosing recommendations based on age, kinetics, and clinical literature.
  • Address questions regarding formulary and non-formulary medications per department policies.
  • Perform medication-related patient education, including dosing, timing, interactions, and side effects.
  • Support specialty areas as needed : Critical Care, Pediatrics, Oncology, Transplant, Medicine, and Cardiac.
  • Prepare chemotherapy (chemo prep required).

    • Qualifications

  • Graduate of an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy .
  • 0–2 years' experience as a licensed Pharmacist.
  • Active pharmacist license (state requirements apply).
  • Chemotherapy preparation experience required .
