You will operate independently in various acute and critical care settings, collaborate with medical staff, and make treatment recommendations as necessary. You will be capable of treating patients from diverse age groups, including infants, children, adults, and the elderly.

Supervisory Responsibilities
This is a non-management position reporting to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduate from a Respiratory Therapy program accredited by the American Medical Association or equivalent, eligible for South Carolina licensure, or a graduating senior within the next three months.
Required Certifications / Registrations / Licenses
Must hold a South Carolina Respiratory Care Practitioner license or be eligible for licensure. BLS certification is mandatory. NBRC credentials must be maintained. Candidates hired after June 2016 must obtain Registered Therapist cut score on the Therapist Multiple Choice Exam and pass the Clinical Simulation Exam within six months of graduation to maintain employment.
NRP and PALS certifications are required before independent work in the NICU and PICU for roles in the Children's Hospital.
Other Required Skills and Experience
Ability to work effectively in a team setting is essential, alongside strong communication, computer, and organizational skills.
