Summary of Job Duties :

The Office Manager supports the daily operations of the Office of Study Abroad & International Exchange. This position requires superior verbal and written communication competencies the ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment and excellent customer service skills when engaging with prospective and current students. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver service-oriented a quick-learner and organized.

Analyze and manage the international travel registry ensuring full compliance with international travel policies and regulations.

Oversee scholarship and funding opportunities for students participating in study abroad programs including promotional activity the application process and award disbursement.

Support the contract and memorandum of understanding processes for University of Arkansas-administered study abroad programs.

Answering and directing telephone calls and emails from students parents faculty and staff to appropriate departments or individuals.

Monitor office supplies and manage the ordering process for new stationery furniture appliances and electronics as necessary.

Coordinating and facilitating trainings for new office employees

Assisting new office employees with their employment paperwork in collaboration with GSIE Human Resources.

Ensuring the office is well-maintained safe and clean including overseeing repairs and maintenance of appliances and office equipment.

Monitoring peer advisors to ensure that they stay on task with their responsibilities.

Support the office with outreach marketing and event initiatives

Regular reliable and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty as is the ability to create and maintain collegial harmonious working relationships with others.

Qualifications :

Minimum Qualifications :

The formal education equivalent of a bachelors degree in public administration general business or a related field

Preferred Qualifications :

At least three years of professional or administrative experience

Experience with University of Arkansas Workday system Starfish Razorbuy and Terra Dotta Risk Management Tool

Experience using databases and Excel spreadsheets

Knowledge Skills & Abilities :

Knowledge and experience with the Microsoft Office Suite

Strong analytical and communication skills

Strong project management skills

Demonstrated ability to maintain a professional demeanor and work discreetly with confidential records and information
