Position Overview

HSHS St. John’s Hospital, a Level II pediatric trauma center, is seeking a Pediatric Anesthesiologist to join their team. The hospital is a teaching facility affiliated with Southern Illinois University School of Medicine and offers advanced surgical services.

Responsibilities

• Assist in directing and coordinating activities in the Anesthesia Department
• Manage anesthesia for various procedures including pediatrics, ortho, cardiac, OB, and more
• Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments and obtain patient consent
• Discuss anesthetic options and risks with patients
• Monitor physiological conditions and perform interventions as needed
