This position reports directly to the department lead. This position is responsible for the coordination of OSHA, HSE, and USG contract required training, the position is 80 / 20 with 80% outside and 20% inside work. The technical instructor will monitor and provide classes regarding various training requirements for personnel to assure compliance with regulatory and other requirements specified by OSHA, HSE, and USG requirements. The technical instructor arranges for a trainer, coordinates training dates, training location, training time, and targeted personnel. The technical instructor will also arrange for the required audio-visual resources needed to complete the training. The technical instructor will maintain the training records database including electronics and hard copy as needed or required. The technical instructor must be highly organized and be able to effectively communicate professionally to all levels of the organization. He / she also must have good skills regarding various computers training software including excellent word processing skills. Roles and Responsibilities :

• Performs duties IAW documented policies, procedures, work instructions and verbal guidance from Department Supervisor.
• Responsible for updating / maintaining associated Standing Operating Procedures (SOP), reviews, drafts revisions and interim changes, processes proposed changes through Quality / Auditor Section for publishing.
• Helps coordinate Employee Training activities, plans and schedules training events, coordinates for instructor and equipment support; internal training and training conducted by outside agencies such as colleges.
• Assists instructors in preparation for training classes and events.
• Following Procedures : Adhering to strict military and federal guidelines regarding vehicle use.
• Assist with coordinating New Hire training event for new employees, establishes and maintains the training file in training data base.
• Receiving and fulfilling requests for motor transportation from authorized personnel.
• Maintains Employee Training and Instructor Database, updates as training rosters / certificates as completed, and posts to Share Drive.
• Issues employee Record of Operator Training permits, IAW SOP.
• Prepares Instructor Certification letters at the request of Functional Area Managers.
• Maintains employee training files (hard copy), files training records.
• Performs administrative functions of Equipment Training Program.
• Performs other duties as assigned at the direction of the Department Supervisor
