Summary :
The Director of Field Marketing develops and executes local marketing strategies, managing multi-channel campaigns (digital, social, print, events), analyzing local market data, overseeing budgets, and collaborating with internal teams and operators to drive local sales and brand growth. Key responsibilities involve setting local brand positioning, ensuring message consistency across channels, and adapting national promotions for local markets.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Building and developing teams :
Effectively lead a remote and diverse team of marketers for company owned and franchise property locations.
Strategy and planning :
Develop and execute local marketing strategies aligned with business objectives to drive local sales and brand growth.
Campaign management :
Oversee the creation and implementation of integrated, multi-channel marketing campaigns, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
Performance analysis :
Analyze campaign performance using data-driven insights to provide actionable feedback and optimize future campaigns.
Budget management :
Plan and allocate marketing budgets for local initiatives.
Local execution :
Adapt and extend national promotions, pricing, and calendar decisions for effective local market impact.
Collaboration :
Work closely with internal teams (e.g., national marketing, revenue, sales, operations) and external partners (e.g., operators, partners, platforms) to ensure consistent brand messaging and strategy support.
Market research :
Identify local market opportunities, analyze consumer needs, and stay informed about the competitive landscape.
Reporting :
Track progress, report on key performance indicators, and communicate results to stakeholders
Training and Education :
Develop training, tools, and educational resources to drive adoption and ease of use.

Required Education and Experience :
Bachelor's degree in marketing, Hospitality, or related field.
Five to seven years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered.
Proven experience in multi-location marketing execution, coaching, or franchise marketing.
Strong understanding of business principles, financial management, and commercial strategies.
Results-oriented mindset with a track record of driving business growth and profitability.
Familiarity with franchising regulations and industry best practices.
Ability to travel by vehicle and air.
Preferred Education and Experience :
Experience in Outdoor Hospitality
Physical Demands and Working Conditions :
Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboard, including lifting and carrying a laptop and other small items up to 20 pounds.
Prolonged exposure to computer screens.
Use of repetitive motion, standing, bending, sitting, lifting, and walking short distances.
May be expected to drive a vehicle to KOA locations, other locations as directed, and conferences which requires close and distance vision, sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, other vehicles, etc. Travel occurs in all weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
Frequent in person interaction with KOA employees in various settings, where noise level is typically low to moderate, including office spaces.
Will experience occasional interruptions and shifting priorities.
