Hardware Systems Engineer (Failure Analysis) We are seeking a Hardware System Engineer with Failure Analysis experience to join our team in Cupertino. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop complex analysis tools that help characterize world-class hardware products. You will work closely with the Hardware, Module, and Design & Validation teams to drive innovation and ensure product excellence. Responsibilities Develop and maintain analysis tools for hardware characterization and validation. Collaborate with hardware, module, and validation engineers to define requirements and deliver high-quality solutions. Apply Electrical Engineering fundamentals to debug, analyze, and validate hardware modules. Perform functional verification and failure analysis of consumer electronics hardware and systems. Write and run test scripts, conduct hardware testing, and analyze resulting data Document designs, methodologies, and findings with strong technical writing for internal and cross-functional use. Manage tasks independently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Required Skills & Experience 1–2 years of experience in hardware design, development, and validation Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; Master’s degree is preferred Must have experience with Python programming Experience with hardware modules or sub-systems with consumer products such as hardware, displays, touch systems, camera, and / or audio systems is preferred. Functional verification methods in consumer devices. Solid understanding of core Electrical Engineering fundamentals. Knowledge of scripting languages such as Perl, Shell, Unix is a plus Strong documentation, communication, and interpersonal skills with proven ability to work independently in dynamic, high-pressure settings. Location : Cupertino, California (onsite Monday through Friday) Pay Rate Range : $50-$70 / h (DOE) Duration : 18 months with possible extension
