Estimator

PrideStaff on behalf of a client is seeking an experienced Estimator who can analyze project documentation, like plans and bills of quantities to estimate costs. The ideal candidates must have experience with HVAC, roofing, mechanical, electrical and plumbing. Please apply today!

This is a temporary project through January.

Responsibilities :

Researching, sourcing, negotiating, and obtaining the best prices and quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.

Determining, estimating, and establishing entitlement on change orders.

Working with team leaders, project managers, and project accountants to evaluate costs, risks, and achieve financial closeout.

Preparing material and cost estimates for labor, products, or services.

Coordinating all Potential Change Orders (PCOs) and Change Orders (COs) with architects and engineers, participating in related meetings.

Compiling and recording cost savings on all change orders and reporting them to upper management.

sing e-Builder as the primary communications and reporting tool. Requirements :

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

10 years minimum performing estimating functions.

Proficiency in mathematics, statistics, and data analysis; expertise with analytic tools such as spreadsheets and database functions; experience in RS Means; familiarity with analyzing requirement data to develop estimates.

Strong organizational, attention to detail, critical thinking, report writing, strategic planning, excellent written communication, and exceptional time management skills; ability to read and interpret technical documents. Must be able to submit to a background check and drug screen
