We are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to oversee and enhance purchasing operations within our organization. This role requires a meticulous individual with strong analytical skills to manage procurement processes efficiently while ensuring compliance with policies and regulations. The ideal candidate is someone who can handle vendor relations, coordinate bids, and implement best practices to optimize purchasing strategies.
Responsibilities :
- Review purchase requisitions to ensure accuracy and alignment with organizational needs.
- Prepare comprehensive bid and proposal packages to facilitate vendor selection.
- Manage the bidding process, including evaluating submissions and recommending contract awards.
- Lead pre-bid meetings to communicate expectations and clarify requirements to vendors.
- Ensure all procurement activities adhere to established policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
- Assess the need for addendums and issue them as required.
- Respond to vendor inquiries and determine appropriate actions to address concerns.
- Supervise and oversee the administration of the organization's purchasing card program.
- Utilize various resources such as policy manuals, laws, codes, and catalogs to support procurement decisions.
- Monitor and enhance operational efficiency in purchasing and contract management processes.
- Proven experience in corporate procurement and purchasing operations.
- Strong knowledge of purchase order management and related processes.
- Expertise in procurement functions, including vendor management and contract negotiations.
- Ability to manage and evaluate bids and proposals effectively.
- Familiarity with policies, codes, and regulations governing procurement activities.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in analyzing data and preparing detailed reports.
- Capability to oversee purchasing card programs and ensure proper administration.
