Talent4Health is seeking a travel nurse RN Oncology for a travel nursing job in Wilmington, North Carolina.

Manager is looking for Medsurg skilled RNs for this MS / Onc unit .

Qualifications :

  • 2 Years Minimum Experience REQUIRED
  • 1st Time Travelers are ACCEPTED
  • Locals are ACCEPTED
  • REQUIRED Certs : BLS

    • Skills REQUIRED :

  • Experience in an inpatient setting is required, Med / Surg, Colostomy care, Accessing Ports, Blood Product Administration, Central line blood draw, Peripheral Line Care / Management, PICC line management, Heparin, Insulin, Surgical drains, Chest tubes-Emerson / Pleur-evac, Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Isolation Precautions, Wound Care / Wound Vac

    • PREFERRED Skills :

  • PREFERRED Certs : CPI, OCN
  • Charge nurse experience

    • JOB DETAILS :

  • Primarily Medical Surgical patients with Oncology history
  • Target Ratios : 1 : 6
  • Shift : NIGHTS
  • 13-26 weeks accepted
  • Call Requirement : Call required if called off on a prescheduled shift.
  • Float Requirement : Floating required to similar units and alternate care locations with inpatients holding, such as inpatient holding in the ED, or any alternate medical patient care location.
  • Weekend Requirement :
  • EVERY OTHER WEEKEND REQUIRED.
  • Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and / or Hurricane Team. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty or disaster. Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid contract may occur and the contract staff may be preassigned to units as needed
  • PATIENT DIAGNOSES : General medical-surgical diagnosis primary patient population. Administration of chemotherapy / biotherapy -IV, PO, or injection.
  • AKI, Sepsis, Cancer, Septic shock, Pain, OD, Malignant Neoplasms, ARF, Encephalopathy, FTT, Diabetic foot ulcers, Heparin drips,
  • SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS : Daily Census 42.

    • During times of increased census, typical ratios may be higher.

  • Contract staff will be assigned equally to the home unit staff to ensure that patients are covered with a registered nurse
  • Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and / or Hurricane Team
  • Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty, or disaster
  • Contract staff may be preassigned to units as needed
  • Like units includes floating to inpatient holding in the ED, or any alternate medical patient care location.
  • Shifts called out will need to have make up shifts rescheduled.
  • Attendance to monthly staff meetings.

    • UNIT SYSTEMS : Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR

    SCRUBS : Navy Blue and white.
