Tenure-Track Faculty Position in Creative Technology and Design

Job Summary

The invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in creative technology and design. We seek an imaginative, collaborative, and boundary-pushing scholar whose work transcends traditional disciplinary boundaries and engages deeply with technology, design, and human experience. The successful candidate will lead a forward-looking research or creative agenda, teach across ATLAS’s undergraduate and graduate programs, and contribute meaningfully to the institute’s interdisciplinary community.

We welcome candidates whose work connects with existing ATLAS strengths while also introducing new directions. Example areas include, but are not limited to :

• Computational creativity, embodied interaction, and tangible-user-interface systems.
• Bio-inspired design, biomaterials, nanotech, digital fabrication, and dynamic environments.
• Human–AI collaboration, sonic interaction, and affective computing.
• Interactive performance media, creative textiles, and cognitive augmentation.
• Intersections of biology and computation, molecular phylogenetics.
• Narrative systems and computational literature.
• Education, learning sciences, and technology-mediated pedagogy.
• Psychology, cognitive science, and human-centered behavioral research.
