Position Details

Website Accessibility & Design Assistant (Student Intermediate Level) Off Campus Work Study position. Primary project : ensuring the museums website meets ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) accessibility standards, while assisting with web design updates and routine site maintenance. Works a maximum of 15 hours per week (30 hours per two-week pay period).

Key Responsibilities

• Audit the museums current website to identify accessibility issues and areas for improvement.
• Implement changes to align the website with ADA accessibility guidelines (WCAG 2.1).
• Assist in redesigning and updating web pages for improved user experience and mobile responsiveness.
• Conduct regular site maintenance, including updating content, fixing broken links, and ensuring security standards.
• Collaborate with staff to gather content needs and provide technical solutions.
• Document accessibility improvements and train staff on maintaining compliance moving forward.
