Job Description

The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for specific tasks, projects, and activities within Accounts Payable and Procurement. This role is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail and a knack for problem-solving in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Utilize OCR and ERP Systems to review and process invoices.
• Assist with vendor set-up in ERP System.
• Assist with weekly settlement runs, analyzing and reviewing for accuracy.
• Review invoice paperwork in detail to ensure appropriate documentation is submitted for approval prior to payment.
• Monitor and respond to AP group emails in a timely manner.
• Assist in internal and external audit activities, gathering information and preparing responses to auditors.
• Assist with ad-hoc projects as assigned.
• Build and maintain positive internal and external relationships while researching and resolving invoicing issues.
• Prioritize and organize tasks; manage multiple tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
• Perform other tasks and assignments as needed.
• Assist with day-to-day Procurement activities.
• Communicate regularly with suppliers and internal / external customers for inquiries and account reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies while carrying out daily processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

Work Environment

The work setting is hybrid, requiring 1-2 days in the office with flexibility as the schedule may change. Working hours are Monday to Friday from 8 : 30 am to 5 : 30 pm with a 1-hour lunch break.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bronx, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00 / hr.
