Psychiatric - Mental Health Physician Assistant

Title : Physician Associate - Salem, OR

Location : Salem, OR

Shifts : Monday - Friday (8-hr shifts)

• Sign-On Bonus : $10,000

Responsibilities :

Identify short-term and long-range client care issues.

Assess client's health by interviewing clients, performing physical examinations, obtaining, and updating medical histories.

Order diagnostic tests, interpret test results, and develop care plans.

Prescribe and administer medication based on evidence-based treatment plans.

Document client care services in the electronic health record.

Perform therapeutic procedures by administering injections, immunizations, suturing, and managing wounds and infections.

Requirements :

Must hold an active Physician Assistant License by the State of Oregon.

Eligible to become certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physical Assistants (NCCPA).

Ability to prescribe controlled substances and have an active DEA license.

Experience in addiction and mental illness is preferred but not required.

Willing to complete 8 hours of MAT training.
