Job Description :

This position supports strategic programs essential to maintaining U.S. Armed Forces readiness. The successful Manufacturing Engineer will contribute as a member of the production support team. Activities include development of production processes procedures and layouts for mechanical electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies. Manufacturing Engineers also support production through operator training process issue resolution and monitoring and evaluating existing operations for opportunities to improve efficiency first pass yield and scrap rates.

Essential Functions :

Analyze engineering design documents and develop the methods processes tools jigs fixtures etc. required to fabricate the specified product

Develop and prepare work instructions control plans Process Failure Mode Effects Analyses (PFMEAs) and process validation plans

Lead the set-up and validation of new production lines and training

Monitor production key performance indicators and respond accordingly to ensure goals are being met

Analyze manufacturing production problems and implement corrective actions involving designs materials and processes

Provide technical expertise and support related to manufacturing

Conduct capacity analyses capability studies and gage repeatability and reproducibility studies

Less than 10% travel expected

Additional Qualifications / Responsibilities

Qualifications :

Bachelors degree in Manufacturing engineering Manufacturing Technology Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering or Industrial Engineering and 1 year or less of directly related work experience
