Customer Service Professional
The Customer Service Professional will provide superior customer service to all visitors, internal and external customers, and drivers delivering / picking up product while supporting scale operations and processing all necessary paperwork with attention to detail. This position typically works a schedule of 8 : 30 AM-4 : 30 PM Monday through Friday. Occasional overtime may be required with notice.
Critical Success Criteria :
Act as point of contact for incoming and outgoing drivers delivering or picking up product and delivers superior customer service.
Coordinate with freight carriers, customers, suppliers, and other Gopher Resource departments to ensure smooth and accurate shipping and receiving schedules, processes and transactions.
Ensure safe and accurate shipment of hazardous materials to include manifests, weights, and type.
Responsibilities :
Weigh incoming trucks and complete paperwork for receiving department
Enter receivable information into the computer
Weigh outgoing trucks and complete paperwork for shipping
Answer phones, forward calls and schedule appointments as needed
Greet customers and visitors and direct them appropriately in a professional manner
Assist with incoming and outgoing mail and packages
Perform routine duties such as answering emails, data entry, producing labels, and filing
Enter carrier / broker bills and match with invoices to verify for payment
Scan Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Front Office paperwork
Enter inbound battery loads for Tampa
Participate in meetings, TEAMs calls, and training seminars as needed
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements :
High School Diploma or GED minimally required
2+ years of previous work experience in customer service role
Technical proficiency with MS Office and ability to learn new systems
Excellent interpersonal skills, composure, and conflict resolution
Clear and professional communicator in both written and verbal communication mediums
Resourcefulness with ability to work well under competing priorities; strong attention to detail and data accuracy; excellent time management with ability to meet deadlines
Ability and willingness to work both independently and within a collaborative and team environment
Willingness to obtain training in RCRA, DOT, and manifest regulations and standards, in accordance with the RCRA permit
Compensation Information : Annualized Salary Range : $43,953 to $65,930 (based on standard hours). This position is also eligible for a short-term incentive plan which is determined by the achievement of strategic objectives. The market rate for the role is typically at the midpoint of the salary range; however, variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as candidate qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
