Occupational Therapist - Long Term Substitute

Supervisor : Director of Special Education

Rate of Pay : Starting at $150.00 per day for days 1-21, increase to $200.00 per day retro back to Day 1 (Sub License) or $225.00 (PEL License), Day 60+ increase to $248.43 per day retro back to Day 1

Schedule : This is a long-term substitute assignment beginning on / about December 1, 2025 through (on / about) end of school year (June 1)

Summary Title : Under the general supervision of the Director and Assistant Director of Special Education, to lead the process in the development, implementation, and coordination of the school district's occupational therapy program for students with disabilities or physical / mental impairments by developing individualized programming based on occupational performance deficits activities of daily living, including personal care, interaction skills, community integration, work, and communication.

Qualifications / Experience

• Current and valid Occupational Therapist license issued from the The Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulations
• Previous experience working with EC-8 level students.
• An interest and / or experience working with students with varying levels / types of disabilities.
• Expertise in conducting educational assessments and the development of individual educational programs.
• The ability to work collaboratively with others to optimize student achievement.
• A willingness to participate in staff development opportunities.
• A strong commitment to professional excellence.
