Purpose :

The Welder II has general responsibilities to fabricate and join sheet metal components to assemble structural forms of military components.

Job Duties :

• Use variety of gas, arc, or other welding equipment to permanently join metals to meet blueprint and planning requirements.
• Ability to be certified to various welding standards and specifications.
• Cleans parts as required to remove FOD.
• Performs highly repetitive type of welding and tacking operations.
• Uses a variety of measuring instrucments to check parts for conformance to tolerance as require.
• Responsible for the quality of the products and in reporting required Quality data.
• Performs routine daily maintenance of equipment and housekeeping duties.
• Replenish weld consumables.
