Job Summary

  • In this Manager Distribution (3rd Shift) role, you will lead a team of Hourly Associates in the Atlanta Distribution Center. The team is responsible for the receipt, processing, packaging, storage, order filling and shipment of parts to Caterpillar dealers, Distribution Centers and Regional Distribution Centers to support the end users of Caterpillar equipment.

Additional Info :

  • This role is located in Atlanta, GA and does not offer relocation
  • This role is 3rd Shift : Sunday-Thursday 9pm-5 : 30am
  • This role is 100% on-site with no opportunity for hybrid or remote schedules

    • What You Will Do :

  • Making workflow decisions under the direction of management. Improving service levels and costs for distribution center operations.
  • Supervising and motivating distribution center employees through effective coaching and training, clear communication of job expectations, and positive reinforcement of exemplary performance; maintaining a positive distribution center working environment.
  • Implementing productivity, quality, and service standards. Resolving problems and identifying areas for improvements. Contributing performance data to strategic plans and reviews.
  • Ensuring all equipment receives preventative maintenance and repairs, as necessary.
  • Adhering to requirements and procedures for safety regulations.

  • Operational Functions : Knowledge of major functional processes and associated operating requirements; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.

  • Distribution Center Management : Knowledge of distribution processes, issues and considerations; ability to effectively manage the receipt, storage, and distribution of inventory to stores and / or customers.

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Extended Warehouse Management (EWM)
  • Proficient work history in a warehouse environment
