Revenue Accounting Manager

Dallas, TX – hybrid (3 days onsite)

Vaco has partnered with one of our rapidly-growing, PE-backed tech clients to recruit on an open Revenue Accounting Manager role.  This role will be responsible for overseeing the company’s revenue recognition processes, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP, and supporting cross-functional teams with contract review, accounting guidance, and reporting.

Compensation : 120-135K

Day-to-day

• Lead the company’s revenue accounting function in accordance with ASC 606, including contract reviews, revenue recognition, and month-end close processes.

Review and interpret customer agreements to identify performance obligations, variable consideration, and other complex contract terms impacting revenue recognition.

Partner with Sales, Legal, and Operations to ensure contracts are structured in compliance with accounting standards while supporting business objectives.

Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and revenue-related reporting for monthly, quarterly, and annual close.

Develop, document, and maintain revenue accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Manage the implementation and ongoing optimization of revenue systems, tools, and processes to drive efficiency and scalability.

Provide technical accounting guidance and memos on complex revenue matters for management and auditors.
